Antillean jewelry includes about ten types of earrings. The Jonc, Les Créoles are formed by rings of varying dimensions and thicknesses. There are also: Dormeuses with flowers, Dormeuses with diamonds, Pommes cannelles with rings of varying dimensions and thicknesses, conical in shape with a grain of gold. There are also Dahlias, circular gold earrings, flattened, filled with corollas with a grain of gold, the Tété négresse, a granulated gold circle with rounded flowers punctuated by small grains of gold, Pampilles formed with tiny mats that end in dangling gold loops fixed by a rod to the ear.
Today's Antillean jewelry craftsmen have preserved tradition and brought a contemporary touch to Antillean jewelry. They exercise their creative talent by using and combining a wide variety of metals: white gold, silver, gold-plated copper, cubic zirconia, shiny steel. They use various precious and semi-precious stones such as garnet, amethyst, aquamarine, ruby, citrine, emerald, sapphire, diamond grains, Swarovski crystal, hematite, and rhinestones.
